2 Months Old

Dakota had his two month check up today. He weighs 10 pounds 2 ounces and is 20 inches long. The doctor said he looks great. He's growing and developing like he's supposed to be. He also got four shots today. People aren't kidding when they say it's hard to watch your kids get shots! It was a little tough! David had the horrible job of holding Dakota's legs down while the nurse stuck him. Needless to say, Dakota has been kinda whiny this afternoon. Here are some pictures of him with his cousins.

Just Hanging Out

Here are some pictures of Dakota just hanging out. We've had some very fussy evenings the last week or two, but it's started to get better the last couple of days. He's spending more time awake every day and is cooing and smiling more often too. He's smiling and cooing more during the day anyway. Morning and early afternoon are his happiest times. It's the evenings that get loud and unhappy! Other than that, and him growing bigger every day, not much else has changed.






This is how David gets Dakota to sleep when he's being fussy. He puts Dakota in the carrier (which puts Dakota chest to chest with David) and walks around until Dakota falls asleep, then David lays him (carrier and all) in the car seat. It works, and it's pretty cute to see too!
