Not Much New

Well, not much has changed for me. I'm still rolling everywhere and scooting more, and I do push myself backwards now. I'm also sitting on my own better and better. My diet has grown quite a bit. I'm eating lots of veggies and fruits. Mom and Dad are brave and are making my food from scratch. They bought a baby food cook book for ideas on stuff to make. I love my apple/pear/cinnamon mix and strawberry/banana mix. Sweet potatoes and carrots are good too. Peas and corn are ok. I don't like broccoli (unless it's mixed with something) or avocados. I'm going to begin trying meats soon! I'll start with the store bought jars until Mom and Dad get an idea of what I like though.

Watching Dad grill

I'm learning to hold my bottle on my own, with the help of sippy cup handles.

And I'm learning to use a sippy cup nipple. I make a big mess! My shirt ends up soaked, but I have fun with it!
I really like to play in the curtains. Mom has to constantly move me away from them.

6 Months Old

I had my 6 month check up today and the doctor said I'm doing great! I'm a lot heavier than last time, I gained 4 pounds in 2 months! So I now weigh 18 pounds 2 ounces. However, I didn't get much taller. I'm only 24 & 1/2 inches long, which is only one inch bigger than last time. Big surprise since my parents are so tall, huh!!

I'm growing lots of other ways too! I am rolling all over the place now. Mom and Dad put me down in one spot and before they know it I'm on the other side of the room! I'm also starting to scoot around. My first two teeth, the bottom center ones, came in at the same time a few weeks ago. But every time Mom and Dad try to see how much more they've come in, I stick my tongue out and cover them up!

I have also found my voice and love to squeal. I babble a little, but for the most part I just squeal at the top of my lungs when I'm happy. I really love it when Mom squeals back at me!! And as you can see below I can sit on my own! I can sit unsupported for only a minute or two, but when supported I can sit longer.

Cow Towel

Mom and Dad got this towel as a shower gift for me. And I'm finally big enough to use it!

Playing with Grandma Frank's flip-flop pillows at the Puddle. I LOVED these things!
