(Update 3 of 3)
On our way to my very fist soccer practice!
Listening to my coaches, sort of. (I have red shorts on) Mom's camera died two pictures later. So this is all we have from my first day! Oops.
Kaylee got her first haircut!
Our good friend Kylie did it for her.
"Are we done yet Mom??"
All done and quite a bit shorter! But much more even now.
Another soccer practice! I do ok depending on the day. Some days I forget I can't use my hands and rather than kicking it, I just fall on the ball to get it. I also don't listen to my coaches very well some days. Other days, I love it and do awesome listening and "dribbling" all over the field. Our "scrimmages" are my favorite part any day. They split us up four against four and we get to play against each other.
Kaylee playing with her shoes. She usually spends the whole hour playing on the playground behind us.
One of my coaches. All the coaches are local college soccer players.
"No Mom, I will not smile for you."
Our good friends came over to play one day.
Yes, we are throwing dirt clods at each other & we are ok with it.
Having a tea party picnic!
It was so beautiful last weekend, and our other plans got canceled, that we went to the lake! First we stopped by the spillway to see if it was flowing & to hike around a little.
Dad was worried Kaylee would fall down the steep sidewalk.
Headed down to the water's edge.
Mommy pointed out the clam shells in the mud, so then Kaylee kept pointing them out & digging them up.
I really wanted my picture taken on this rock.
When it was time to leave, Mommy & I climbed up the big rocks on the side of the hill.
Daddy & Kaylee came up the stairs.
Next we went down to the beach/swim area of the lake & found this little guy!
The water is REALLY low! (Our blue Jeep is at the top left of the picture.) The no wake buoy, which should be 100+ feet from the shore, was only 5 feet out!
Smacking the water around with a big stick I found.
Kaylee was trying to copy me, but only succeeded in throwing her stick in the water.
I insisted on climbing the rocks on the way back up the beach. Kaylee wanted to, but Mommy & Daddy didn't think she was big enough yet.
There's a pretty good reason the boat ramps are closed.
It didn't take her long to fall asleep once we left!
I probably should have fallen asleep, but didn't!
Daddy showing us he can ride the scooter too.
"Are you watching me Mommy!?"
Yes, this is the easiest way to turn it around. At least I think so!
Silly Daddy.
Finally warm enough/dry enough for soccer again! It was only supposed to last the month of April. But they've had to cancel so many because of wet weather we are now going most of May too!
Kaylee and her friend Gracie tackling Daddy!
(Don't forget to look at the new posts for February & March too!)
