State Fair!

Mommy apologizes that it has been over two months since she last updated this! July & August were so busy that she just didn't feel like it! So here is a nice long post of our trip to the state fair on September 12th for Daddy's birthday! It was Kaylee's first time & she loved it as much as I do. Especially all of the animals!! We both got bored with most everything else though, and Kaylee fell asleep for quite awhile. And I was obsessed with wanting to ride the train! I never even saw the train until we were about ready to leave, but I saw train tracks and knew there had to be a train somewhere and I needed to ride it!! Mommy & Daddy wouldn't let me though. Some silly excuse about having the strollers and them not fitting.
So the very first thing we saw was a massive fish tank full of fish native to Kansas.

Kaylee pointing at all the big fish.

Next we went into the petting zoo. Kaylee LOVED the donkeys. She kept pulling away from Mommy & running back over to them. Even though all they did was lay there!

Petting some breed of cow.

The zebra was my favorite!

After the petting zoo, we moved onto the barns with all the show animals. First up, the bunnies. Some weren't quite close enough for us to pet!

Others were close enough to pet, and stayed long enough for us to pet!

Kaylee got to pet this one.

Thinking about trying to pet the turkey. The turkey didn't get any closer & neither did I!

Lunch time! Kaylee & I shared chicken strips.

They were good!

Daddy had nachos. Ha,ha,ha,ha

One of the barns had a September 11th memorial built out of small wood blocks. They had the twin towers plus the other buildings of that complex, & the pentagon. There were also plaques with the names of those that died, newspaper articels from that day, a before and after picture of the twin towers & a few other memorial things. The number of blocks used in the display is the exact number of casualities from that day.

I liked looking in the firetruck, but I did not want Daddy to put me in there! Even though the really nice firefighter said I could.

Feeling the grain in one of the bins.

"I'll stand here Mom, but I won't smile..."

Combine!! They have a cab set up that kids can climb in & pretend to drive.

"Milking" a cow. I was good!

That's all for today! Hopefully Mommy will get back into the groove of updating this more often! Love you all!!
