Dakota had his one month appointment on January 11 and the doctor told us we were doing a good job. He looked very healthy and is growing just as he should be. So we haven't screwed him up yet so far! Yay!! He weighed 8lbs 3 oz and was 19 & 3/4 inches long. When he was born, the hospital measured him at 19 inches, but at his first appointment they measured him at 18 & 1/2 inches. So I guess he grew either way, just not sure how much exactly!! He's still eating every two hours, around the clock. We do get lucky sometimes and he'll sleep at night for 3 or 4 hours. Can't wait until that is the norm (plus a few more hours)!!
Butterscotch still has nothing to do with him and Katie is still unsure, but she explores him a little more each day. Katie gets very jealous when Dad holds Dakota, she won't go near them and lays around pouting. She has no problem, however, checking him out when Mom is holding him.
Mom and Dad are doing pretty good as well. Slowly but surely adjusting to the new addition, and the new lifestyle that came along with him. We're enjoying learning more and more about him each day, as well as falling more and more in love with him.
He's getting SOO big!!! And too cute!! Glad to hear things are good!
