Cows, Gardens & Easter

Mid-March we went to Grandma Net & Grandpa Vince's house for my cousin Christian's 6th birthday. Mommy bought all 4 of us sunglasses, so we cheesed for Grandma in them. With me is Christian, Katelyn & Brandyn.

While there, I got to see Uncle Paul's cows. They let me pet them...

then they sniffed me...

then they let me feed them some hay!

Daddy and I also started our garden in March. After Daddy got it all tilled, we went and picked out food! These are the potatoes and onions we got.

This is everything else I helped pick out! Daddy and Mommy narrowed it down to the sweet corn, zucchini, watermelon, tomatoes and green beans (but only because I REALLY REALLY wanted to plant those).

We started with the potatoes, onions, and some asparagus transplanted from Nana's farmhouse at the end of March. Daddy has been a really good sport about letting me help.

Though I may not have actually helped much at some points.

How do I do this Dad?

Oh! Ok, I got it...sort of.

Time to water! When's it my turn? Huh, huh, when's it my turn?

My aim may be a little off, but I have a blast trying!

This week we did my green beans, mostly because I wouldn't stop asking to plant them!

Pushing the seed in the ground.

Next!

This is when Daddy stole a handful and sprinkled them around to help. Apparently my one bean at a time method was too slow for him!

Time to water them.

Again, my aim may be a little off.

This week was also Easter! We went back to Grandma Net & Grandpa Vince's for a family reunion. I got to do an egg hunt after church Sunday morning that was a lot of fun! The bigger kids got most of the candy, though I did get plenty.

Mommy had to help a little at first because the candy was actually just scattered around and some of it was hard to see.

I figured it out quickly though and took off looking.
