I got to go on my first vacation/road trip April 16-19. I went to Colorado Springs for a cousins wedding with Daddy, Uncle Richard, Mommy.....

Grandpa Vince....

And Grandma Net (sorry Grandma, we didn't have any other pictures of you).

We left Thursday afternoon and the ride there was pretty good. It was really long and we got to our hotel late, but I stayed pretty happy for the entire trip considering I was stuck in my car seat. Bedtime was rough because I was so tired and it was still light out, but I eventually fell asleep.

When we got to the hotel I was wide awake and ready to go again! I went for the telephone as soon as I got my pj's on and Daddy had to disconnect it because I wouldn't leave it alone and kept pushing buttons. I stayed up for a couple more hours before crashing again.

It snowed most of Friday, but we thought we'd try to do some sight-seeing anyway.
We went to the Garden of the Gods first.

And I slept through the whole thing! Good thing Mommy and Grandma got pictures for me.

Then we went to see the Manitou Cliff Dwellings, but it was still snowing so they were closed and this sign was all we got to see.
We gave up and went back to the hotel for some lunch and some swimming. I had lots of fun swimming with Uncle Richard.
On Saturday we just stayed at the hotel until it was time for the wedding. Mommy's cousin Kyle got married to this really nice girl named Alison. I was good for all but about 5 minutes of the ceremony (of course the entire ceremony was only about 30 minutes long). Then we went to the reception and I got cake!!!!! And lots of people talked to me and held me, so I was plenty happy.

After the wedding Mommy went to Target and got me a swim suit with floaties in it.

Of course I had to try it out. It wasn't too bad, but it will take some getting used to.

I really liked to climb in and out of the pool on these stairs.
The snow/clouds/fog finally completely cleared off Sunday morning, so we got our first good glimpse of the mountains as we headed out of town!
The ride home was not as happy as the ride there. I only slept about an hour the entire trip and I cried most of the time that I was awake. It was later determined that I was sick and that was why I was so unhappy.
Mommy and Daddy found out how sick I was later that night when they had to take me to the ER because I was having trouble breathing. Some of the congestion from my cold (or whatever bug I got) settled in my lungs and I ended up with border line pneumonia. I had to take Amoxocillan and use an inhaler twice a day for 10 days. I got to feeling better within a couple days though and was back to my happy, ornery self in no time! This balloon came from our friend Lacey. When Mommy teased her about getting us sick (Mommy and Daddy felt crummy the entire trip too) she felt so bad she sent me the balloon, cookies, and a teddy bear.

I was hot, so I took my clothes off and ran around the house naked. And then I got tired of waiting on supper, so I stole the oven mit from Dad and wore it around.
